1 in 4 people experience mental health issues each year and 1 in 5 have suicidal thoughts - to bring this into context, just think about how many employees your business has. Organisations have a responsibility to put strategies in place to look after people’s mental health.
This digitally-delivered course helps us understand the basic knowledge of what mental health is and how to challenge stigma of some common mental health issues.
It also gives you an introduction to looking after your own mental health and wellbeing as well as having the confidence to offer support to someone in distress or who may be experiencing a mental health issue.
The interactive session is delivered via video conferencing (e.g. Zoom) and enables delegates to understand signs and symptoms, how to confidently talk to a colleague about it, and then to signpost them to appropriate professional help through presentation, discussion and exercises.
Everyone who participates in this digital course will receive a certificate of attendance to say they are Mental Health Aware. They will also receive a manual to refer to whenever they need it and a workbook which includes a helpful toolkit to support their own mental health.
Please note, this course can be delivered as virtual instructor led training (VILT), face to face, or it can be delivered with a blend of both formats. We will customise the content and duration in line with your learning and development requirements.
